I am embarrassed and need to apologize, I thought we were keeping up on our blog posts, then noticed we haven’t posted for over nine months! There have been so many exciting things going on at IFP Connect, I’ll try and just give you a quick update on where we are at!
Since our last post:
- Sales are on track to double year over year.
- Added Security Data Supply as another distributor
- Added two new hybrid cables, exclusive to IFP Connect (more info here)
- Presented new rackmount solutions at CEDIA Expo
- Presented new 4K HDMI fiberoptic extender at CEDIA Expo
- Many multi-family projects in process
- Many light commercial projects in process
- Two new team members
But this post I wanted to talk about infrastructure. During my 17 years as an integrator, there was always concern about whether we were pulling the right cable to the right location. And not just for today, but for the future of the home or business. There are so many options it can be stressful trying to figure out what should actually be installed:
- Which category cable grade (5e, 6, 6a, 8)?
- How many category cables to each wallplate?
- Should we pull coax?
- Do we need 22/4 or 18/2 to each display?
- Shielded or unshielded category cable?
- HDbaseT, fiberoptic, or pre-terminated HDMI cables for video distribution?
- And the list goes on…
At IFP Connect we feel your pain, and wanted to develop a solution. We are so excited to officially announce our cutting edge, all-in-one cable, The One. This cable features Cleerline multi-strand fiber (it is available in 2 or 4 strands of single mode), Southwire high-quality 18 awg cable, and a patent pending double-helix quickwrap. When combined with IFP network hardware, and IFP fiber HDMI adapters, you can have 100% assurance that the cabling you installed will support anything the home needs in the future. 4K HDMI to any wallplate? Done. Four RJ45 jacks behind a TV? Done. Dedicated packetized video network and standby network at one wallplate? Yup, also done. The One is revolutionizing the way infrastructure is designed by making it easier, standardized, and fast.
