Some of our dealers requested an option when they just need a single fiber run, or they are doing individual port management. The IFP Connect is the perfect transceiver for running a managed network or when you need just one more jack. It is paired with the in-wall 1-port, in-wall 4-port, or PoE transceiver. Because it is a 1:1 with one of our transceivers then no switch or PDU is required.
Applications include:
-A dedicated run out to a gate where our switch isn’t needed. Just install this at the head-end, our 4-port at the gate, and you can drive up to four TCP/IP devices over a single strand of fiber up to 1000′.
-Apartments or MDUs that only have a single 4-port transceiver. Just install the transceiver in the apartment, this at the head-end, then you’ll be able to wire directly into your managed switch, giving security and privacy at every fiber drop.
-An install where you have eight fiber drops. You don’t need another 8-port IFP switch, just install this at the head-end and you’ll be able to do nine drops without needing the additional switch at the head-end.
NOTE: This transceiver includes a 12vdc power supply to enable fast and easy install with no additional products. Sold each.
