Optix single-mode connectors work great when a shorter connector is needed. The connectors differ from our other connector in that they do not secure to the jacket, only to the glass. This makes them much shorter, allowing installations in tighter locations. They still feature core functions such as reusability up to three times, mechanical termination via easy push-lock optical window, and one-step removal
NOTE: These are ‘APC’ (green) style. These are 100% compatible with IFP hardware, however if using with other brands of hardware please confirm compatibility.
NOTE 2: These do not secure to the jacket, so they should only be used in protected installation environments such junction boxes or fiber breakout trays. Installation where load could be applied to the connector must be avoided. For application where load may occur, or the short form factor is not needed, we recommend our other SC connector.
