The IFP 8-port fiber network switch is the backbone of the IFP ecosystem. The network switch converts the standard RJ-45 copper-based TCP/IP traffic to fiber transmission to provide interference-free data transmission with virtually unlimited bandwidth using single-mode fiber. Each of the (8) fiber ports are full duplex to allow maximum bandwidth between ports. The network switch has (2) RJ-45 ports, one for uplink to a copper network and a second to allow cascading of fiber switches for larger installations. Each fiber network switch can support up to eight IFP In-wall transceivers which provides up to (32) RJ-45 jacks via only eight fiber cables. This configuration exponentially saves installation and cable termination time throughout the project. Included in the box is a 2-output power supply and 8-output PDU, which powers up to (8) in-wall transceivers.
