Welcome to the first of many blog posts about IFP’s products and technology. We’ll start with one that people have already been asking…what is the purpose of the two green lights on the front? This is one of the best features we’ve added to IFP Transceivers. One of the status lights tells you whether you have power, while the other advises whether you have a connection to the fiber switch. And we specifically put them on the front so you can see them without having to remove the transceiver from the wall, then we made them disappear when the trim ring is installed to provide a clean look. A core deliverable of IFP was to make tech life easier, so you’ll discover all kinds of little features like this to make your installs faster, both for installation and troubleshooting.
